A 35-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being attacked at a flat in Glasgow.
Officers were called to the Govan Road property at 00:35 on Friday following reports of a disturbance.
The man was taken to the city’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after suffering serious injuries.
Following the incident, the area around takeaway shops and flats was cordoned off for forensic examinations to be carried out.
Police remain at the scene, however Govan Road, which had been temporarily shut following the incident, has been re-opened.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “At 00:35 this morning police received a report of a disturbance within a flat in Govan Road resulting in a 35-year-old man being seriously injured.
“The man has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where his condition is described as ‘serious’.”
