A bid by six local authorities to the UK and Welsh governments for £400m is “ambitious”, Wales Office minister Guto Bebb says.

He spoke as the councils handed over their bid for a North Wales growth deal, calling for support for 12 projects designed to boost the region’s economy.

The bid support the North Wales Metro concept, promoting integrated transport around 4 hubs.

Mr Bebb said the proposal was being taken “very seriously by UK government and also by Welsh Government”.
