Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson spoke to Theresa May about her concerns over the Democratic Unionist Party’s gay rights views.

She told BBC Scotland she had been given a guarantee from the PM that a minority Conservative government would preserve gay rights, including gay marriage, despite entering a possible deal with the DUP.

The Northern Ireland party is against gay marriage.

Ms Davidson is due to marry her female partner.
