Plans for long-haul flights to Qatar next year are going “full steam ahead”, the boss of Cardiff Airport has said.

This is despite sanctions which have been placed on Qatar by its Middle East neighbours, led by Saudi Arabia.

Cardiff is on course to launch a regular service with Qatar Airways to Doha from 2018.

BBC Wales business correspondent Brian Meechan asked airport chief executive Deb Barber whether she was concerned about the current political situation.
